After 8 amazing years Ashly and Alysa will say “Goodbye” to Rhythmic Gymnastic
sport and Nevada Rhythmic Academy
Here is Ashly’s special message to the Nevada Rhythmic academy team:
Dear Rhythmic Gymnastics,
I love how you keep my body healthy and my mind focused. The feeling you give me while competing is unmatchable. I will never forget all the amazing experiences in the past 8 seasons. From being the only one from Nevada to make it to Nationals, to sending me to Lake Placid New York with my teammates. You have taught me so much about myself, as well as others. You gave me my best friends, and I could never thank you enough for it. I can’t even think about life without them, so I really appreciate it. You gave me a much deeper understanding about myself. You gave me my strong drive and determination, which will always be with me. My body thanks you for everything you’ve done for it. It’s strong, lean, and powerful, all because of you. Rhythmic gymnastics is like school for me. Sometimes I don’t want to go, but when I do you teach me so much. You run through my mind everyday. There is barely ever a time where I’m not thinking about rhythmic. You’re all I’ve known for 8 years, and I’m sad to say good bye.
I remember the very first time I went to the gym. I knew nobody, I was shy, and very nervous. But over the years I have blossomed into the young woman I am now, and rhythmic gymnastics played a big part in that. My wonderful coaches Lina, Maia, and Ben have taught me more than I thought I could ever know. I know I have some attitude sometimes, but I want them to know that I love them and I really admire everything they have done for me and my sister. The biggest thanks will always go out to my mom. She’s the reason why I’m me. Mom introduced me to this sport, and even a million ‘thank you’ will never be enough to show how much I value that this became a part of my life.
Thank you for every experience you’ve given to me rhythmic. I love you and always will
❤️
